Abstract

In these days, rapid social changes are receiving much attention to the public caused by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and virtual reality. The grand shift by the fourth industrial revolution brings about the growing demand on the facilitation of prospective industries and research fields and highlights the significance of combining science, engineering and arts with the use of up-to-date technologies in the educational context. Thus, this study discusses the meaning of convergence in the contemporary times and implications for convergence-based education for the gifted in science.
