  • Journal of International Gifted in Science (JIGS) is the semi-annual online journal of SIGS (The Society for the International Gifted in Science). It publishes original research and new insights about giftedness in science. Each issue contains research studies that explore the characteristics of gifted, creative, and talented students, program models, teaching strategies, curriculum and other important areas that maximize the development and education in science fields.

  • Authors should submit a paper in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling. Each paper should clearly indicate the nature of its technical/scientific contribution, and the problems, domains or environments to which it is applicable. Only original papers should be submitted. Authors must make sure that their submissions do not substantially overlap work which has been published elsewhere or simultaneously submitted to another journal. Papers that contain any form of plagiarism will be rejected without reviews. Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, it will undergo language copye diting, typesetting, and reference validation in order to provide the highest publication quality possible.

    Authors can submit their work in the form of a Review, brief summaries of developments in recent moving areas, Regular Paper, representing completed and validated research, or as a Short Communication, portraying a short report of work in progress, or as a Feature, discussing ideas, facts, situations, methods, procedures or science education.

  • It should be no more than 200 words long and should summarize the important points in the manuscript. A format of Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement, and References is encouraged, but other format is accepted as well.

  • Cite references in the text alphabetically by name and date (e.g., Jones and Smith, 2005; Smith et al., 2007). References within a REFERENCES sections use the following forms:
